Major - 1 Month Old and Lots of Brotherly Love!

As of August 11th, Major is 1 month old!!  He still pretty much just does newborn stuff...eat, sleep, cry, and poop!  He has smiled at me once or twice, but it is not a regular occurrence.  His "awake" time is from about 9 pm to 1 am (or sometimes 2 am) which is bad because that means I get about 4 hours of sleep a night.  (Bill is in full time football, so that means he leaves about 6 am and gets home about 8 pm, except for on Thursdays (JV games) and Fridays (varsity games) when he doesn't get home until midnight or even later.  Basically, I am on my own during football season.)  Eli and Brady get up about 7, so Major sleeps from 2 to 6, I get up to feed him, then the other boys are up and we begin our day.  Major does great sleeping during the daytime.  Now, if we could only get that to happen more at night!  This beginning newborn time is sure exhausting!
Brady and Eli in the crib with Major, trying to get him to stop crying.  They love to do this, and are generally pretty good at it!

Photos 6, 7, and 12: Major's official 1 month pictures.  With both the other boys, I took pictures of them once a month, every month, during their first year and put it in their scrapbook.  I plan on doing the same for Major, but with this blog, I haven't actually printed out pictures in over a year!  I'm going to have to do better about that.  I'm not sure which 1 month picture to choose...

Photo 9: Brady after having put Major to sleep!  (Yes, I'm serious.  Brady sat there and talked to him and patted him until he fell asleep.)  5 minutes of rest time for me!
Photo 10 and 11: What are the older 2 up to while I'm tending to Major?  Well, they play track, baseball, soccer, football, tag, hide and go seek...you name it, they play it.  Here I have a picture of a soccer/football player and his coach.  The other picture is of the boys having a track meet around Major.  He just laid there and watched them.  I'm sure he's wondering what crazy family has he been born into...
