September 19th: National Pirate Day!
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts gave out a free doughnut if you came in talking like a pirate. BUT if you DRESSED like a pirate, you got a free dozen doughnuts! We woke up early, got dressed up, and got our dozen free doughnuts!
/My two pirates. Eli has his "parrot" on his shoulder (a peregrine falcon), Brady has his sword, and they both have a peg leg. The second picture is Eli trying to look tough.
Success! Two dozen free doughnuts! And little Major said "Arrrgh" to them and got one free one. He was so proud of his doughnut!
Eating the spoils of victory...YUM! After eating the doughnuts, Eli says, "Mom, since I'm a pirate and uncivilized, may I wipe my hands and face on my shirt?" I told him to go for it. :-)
