Other than the move, our other major event of the summer was the two big boys learning to ride their bikes! They actually learned back in July, but I kept forgetting my camera, so I took them out in the backyard last weekend and had them ride around a little for me. Eli learned in a day, Brady took about a week. One night, I noticed that he really looked ready to just take off, but something was holding him back. I asked him what was wrong and he said, "I don't know how to stop. I don't want to get going and crash." Poor kid. So I showed him once how to stop the bike, and that was it. We officially had 2 bike riders!
We started out this past Saturday (September 14th) with a chocolate chip muffin and banana breakfast on the picnic table outside.
Then Brady and Eli showed off some of their football skills. Two things to notice about Brady: first, he has on a high school Alabama Christian Academy helmet which I can barely get him to take off. Second, his bright yellow cleats. He saw them at a consignment sale, they are 3 sizes too big, and absolutely fell in love with them. Now, normally, I don't just get them what they ask for, but I could tell this time was different and I was right. He has these cleats on 24/7. He loves them.

After some bike riding, on with the football game! Bill got both boys some old high school jerseys which they played in all day. So cute. I sure do love these fall football Saturdays!
