The Pumpkin Patch

Time again for the pumpkin patch!  For the last 6 years, we went to Berryhill Farm outside of Houston.  Since that is now obviously out of the question, we had to find someplace a little closer to our new home.  We found a place called Dream Field Farms right outside of Montgomery, so we took the boys on Columbus Day since Bill also had the day off of school.  It was a really neat little place with lots of things for the boys to do.  Here they are at the entrance to the farm.  The farm had made bales of hay shaped like animals.  They liked the cow best.
There were lots of animals for the boys to pet and feed.  Major loves animals right now.  He always asks to "hold you" them.  It's so precious.

This place had a lot of blow up things you could play on.  Major played, and played, and played.

In these, the put little plastic ducks and raced them down the water spouts by pumping water as fast as they could.

There were several "corn cribs" where the boys could play in corn like sand in a sand box.  Eli's favorite activity was to jump in and bury himself in it.

Another animal Major was desperate to "hold you" him... a rabbit!  We could not pull him away.

Time to go find the perfect pumpkin! (or 4, since each boy also gets to pick out his own small one)

Once again, we were able to pick the perfect pumpkin!

The boys showing off each of their pumpkins.  Major named his "baby pumpkin" and when he is home, he takes it everywhere with him.  It plays with him outside, it plays dinosaurs with him, it watches TV with him, it eats with him.  Hopefully, it will survive until Halloween!
