Finally, after much anticipation, Christmas arrived! And not a moment too soon, I don't think little Brady could stand it anymore. Santa was very good to us this year! The pictures are all messed up once again, so please disregard the random order of the photos!
Sweet Major. I love this little shirt from Aunt Sara. It says, "For Santa, Not Daddy" speaking of the cookies and milk. Sorry Santa, I believe Daddy ate a lot of your cookies.
Sweet Brady helping Major open his presents. (These first few pictures were taken later on Christmas Day when we went to Gran Betty and Big Daddy's house to open gifts from them.)
An Astros shirt and cap for Brady.
Eli showing Big Daddy his favorite present of Christmas...a Leapster from Santa! (It is a video game system for kids 4 to 9 years of age. He would play it all the time if we let him!)
Eli with his own Astros shirt and hat.
Major doing what Major did this Christmas...eat his presents.
This picture is from earlier in the morning when Daddy found his big Santa gift in Major's closet...a 42 inch flat screen TV!!
Major with his Santa gifts.
Back to Big Daddy and Gran Betty's house...Santa leaves presents for the boys there under the little tree in the kitchen. Here the boys are discovering what Santa left for them.
Daddy and Major
Now we are back to our house for Christmas morning and Mama opening her gifts. Her big gift was an eReader (books on a hand held electronic device). It is awesome! And so much easier than carrying big books everywhere!
Both boys got light sabers...here is to the first of many battles.
This present is the one that Brady says is his favorite...a large T-Rex named Boris from Dinosaur Train.
Our tree before opening presents.
The boys ready to dig into what Santa left for them!
Daddy got a 4 pound bag of his favorite candy, Mike 'n' Ikes. Look how heavy it is!
Discovering what was in their stockings...
Eli with his favorite toy...a Leapster! Santa also gave him 2 games in addition to the 1 it came with, so he has plenty to play!
My two super heroes.
Eli loves to draw pictures and write stories...he got an art set with over 100 items to write/draw with! We already have several new pictures on our fridge.
Christmas is so special with little ones. We really had a wonderful time opening presents just the 5 of us on Christmas morning. I made crescent rolls (Daddy's favorite) and we just enjoyed the morning together. The boys played and played with their toys and kept thanking Santa for all their wonderful gifts. Sometimes I wish they could stay like this forever.
Today I took down all of the Christmas decorations, which is always a sad day for me because I love Christmas so much and the house always looks so sad after it is all put away. But what really touched my heart is that Brady started to cry as I took down the decorations. "Does Christmas have to be over?" He asked. Yes, little one, I'm afraid so. But, Brady said, the bright side is that we get to have Christmas again next year and get out all our decorations again. That sweet boy always knows how to make me smile. :)
