Valentine's Day means it is time for our annual heart-shaped cake! The boys helped me mix the cake and put on the sprinkles. Here they are with their finished product. I usually take this picture of them with the cake on the counter, but with Major, it was hard to get them all up there!
Valentine's Day was on a Tuesday this year, so Brady got to participate in a party, too, since Bible class is on Tuesdays. Both boys were very excited to give their cards and candy to their friends. They also both came home with tons of candy themselves. A lot of it was chocolate....good for mommy and daddy! :)
This year, Bill and I decided to do a scavenger hunt for the boys to find their Valentine's Day goodies. They had a great time reading the clues, and finding their treats. I think we will make this an annual thing! The first clue was on the computer desk. It read, "Violets are blue, roses are red, for your first Valentine's treat, look under your bed"
So then the boys ran to their room and found a bowl of Mike n Ike candies for each of them, along with another clue...
The next clue led them out to their bikes outside where there were Captain America pez despensers waiting for them...
Then on to the living room...
And finally mommy and daddy's room. This last picture is of the boys with their little candies and presents. The scavenger hunt was a big hit! I love my little lovies!
