We had Eli's 9th birthday party on Saturday after his birthday. He invited a few friends over to play football in the backyard. It had been sunny here for weeks. That Saturday, it rained all day long. So instead, I had to come up with games for them to play...quickly!
Eli asked for a Russell Wilson (quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks) cookie cake, so I tried to make one. That is why there is a "3" on the cake. That is Russell Wilson's number. Here is Eli with his cake.
Eli and his friends playing a little video games before other games begin.
Brady, Zach Stephens, Brady Sutton, Eli, Micah Kohring behind Eli and then Micah's brother, Jonah. Jonah and Eli are in the same grade, and Micah and Brady are in the same grade. And they are all very interested in sports. It is a good pairing up for the boys to play!
Eli's friends at the party: Landon Nelson, Eli, Jonah and Micah Kohring, Brady Moore, Brady Sutton, and Zach Stephens.
1st up; wrestling match. I tried to stay out of most of this one. Here is Eli and Jonah wrestling.
Next game: Twister. This was hilarious to watch them all try and play.
Game 3: toilet paper mummy wrap. Eli and Jonah were getting so frustrated because the toilet paper kept ripping.
Brady and Kaitlyn Sutton (Brady Sutton's sister, she stayed for the party to play with Major) were so sweet to wrap up Major. They might have won, too, if Major hadn't broken out of his mummy wrap!
Game 4: Newspaper volleyball. It was hard to get a good picture of this one. I rolled up a newspaper and wrapped it up in tape and moved the couch to the middle of the living room like a volleyball net and they played volleyball.
Game 5: snowball fight. The boys all got cotton balls and spoons and shot the cotton balls at each other like they were having a snowball fight. I actually had more games for them to play, but I had to make lunch, so they went back to video games. :)
Lunch time! Hamburgers (Eli's favorite)
Micah, Landon, Zach,
Brady, Eli, Jonah, and Brady Sutton
Presents!
What a birthday party!
